Eligibility Requirements

Body piercing involves working with the skin and individual anatomy. Below is a list of situations that may prevent me from safely performing a piercing procedure.
These are studio guidelines, not medical advice. Please consult a licensed healthcare professional if you have questions about your personal health.

I cannot perform piercings if you:

• Have any active infection (local or systemic)

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

• Have a condition that prevents safe healing or increases the risk of complications

• Have been advised against piercing by a healthcare professional

• Are unable to provide informed consent

• Have known allergies to metals or materials used for initial piercing jewelry (I use implant-grade titanium)

• Arrive under the influence of alcohol or recreational substances

• Arrive impaired by medications or substances that affect coordination, judgment, or pain perception

• Are feeling ill, have a fever, or show signs of being unwell

• Are under the required minimum age for the piercing you are requesting (see Age & ID Policies)

Pre-Appointment Requirements

To ensure a safe, smooth, and positive experience please follow the guidelines below. By scheduling an appointment you signify that you agree to the following requirements.

Please ensure that you:

• Review the Policies and FAQ sections of this website

• Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID

• Arrive clean, well-rested, and well-fed

• Stay hydrated throughout the day

• Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area being pierced

• Avoid heavy makeup, lotions, oils, or fragrances on or around the piercing site

• Avoid caffeine and alcohol on the day of your appointment

• Avoid arriving after intense physical activity

• Arrive with no more than the allowed number of guests (see studio Guest Policy)

Planning for Pregnancy & Nursing

The following guidance is based on studio policy and industry best practices for nipple piercings. Healing times vary. Consult a healthcare professional for personal guidance.

If you are considering nipple piercings and plan to become pregnant or breastfeed:

• Nipple piercings should be fully healed for at least one year before beginning breastfeeding

• Jewelry will need to be removed during each nursing session

• Removing jewelry before a piercing is fully healed can increase the risk of irritation and delay healing

• Proper timing ensures the safest experience and reduces potential complications

Aftercare Requirements

You will be provided with detailed written and verbal aftercare instructions following your piercing procedure. Safe aftercare products are available for purchase at the studio.

Please keep the following in mind when selecting an appointment date:

• Swimming in pools, hot tubs, oceans, lakes, rivers, and similar bodies of water must be completely avoided until the piercing has fully healed

• Sleeping on the new piercing must be completely avoided until the piercing has fully healed

• Healing times vary from person to person but keep in mind that piercings such as navels, nipples, and any cartilage areas (including nostrils) require an absolute minimum of 6-12 months healing time, sometimes more
